It is documented at catalog level on Discogs, AllMusic and streaming services, but no review written about it was located on AllMusic, All About Jazz, Musica Jazz, JazzTimes, Down Beat, or the Swiss and German jazz press. AllMusic and All About Jazz returned HTTP 403 to bots. One AllMusic fragment surfaced via search calling a Battaglia ensemble project promising but unfocused, but it references multiple groups and cannot be reliably tied to this album. Background

Recorded 16 to 21 June 1997 at Spazi Sonori Studio in Livorno and mixed December 1998 in Siena. Issued on Splasch Records catalog CDH 903.2 in 2000 with liner notes by Stefano Battaglia. One of three 1997 large ensemble Theatrum recordings, with Gesti and Mut-e-azioni, from Battaglia Permanent Workshop for Musical Research in Siena. Three extended pieces, about 57 minutes, for a roughly 16 piece ensemble of saxophones, reeds, basses, drums and percussion, with Battaglia on piano. Michael Gassmann is confirmed on trumpet, as on his later Battaglia ECM album Re Pasolini.
