No substantive published criticism of "Over There" (1994) could be located online. It was the debut recording of the Eliane Cueni / Gitta Kahle Quintett (sometimes credited as Quartet), a Swiss group formed around 1992 out of pianist-composer Eliane Cueni's student years. Catalog/discography listings and Cueni's German Wikipedia biography confirm the band's existence, three-album arc (1994-2001), and touring through Switzerland, Germany and Czechoslovakia, but contain no evaluative content about this specific record. Cueni wrote all the compositions. The music of the group's overall run is described in general (not album-specific) terms by the Brambus label as warm-toned, melodic and over time moving toward more open forms and modern grooves — a general band characterization that must NOT be read as a review of "Over There." AllMusic (HTTP 403), Discogs (HTTP 403) and the NZZ Jazz/Pop archive (HTTP 402 paywall) blocked direct retrieval, so any reception they hold is unverified. Plainisphare (cat. CKQ 557763.1) is a jazz label based in Vich, Switzerland, founded in 1974, which began producing recordings in the early 1980s and has issued 100+ LPs/CDs. "Over There" was the debut album of the Eliane Cueni / Gitta Kahle group, with all compositions by pianist Eliane Cueni (1963-2016; studied jazz piano at the Basel Jazz School 1988-1990 and the Lucerne Jazz School 1990-1994 under Christoph Baumann and Olivier Truan; died 25 Dec 2016). Confirmed personnel (from gittakahle.com discography and corroborating search results): Gitta Kahle (tenor sax), Michael Gassmann (trumpet — the Swiss jazz trumpeter, b. 28 July 1964 Regensdorf per the Swiss Fonoteca jazz biography, NOT the classical musicologist), Eliane Cueni (piano), Harald Haerter (guitar), Michael Chylewsky (acoustic bass), Lukas Bitterlin (drums). Tracklist (Levykauppa Ax): "Little Waltz For Sister Ingrid," "Luna," "Next Life," "Onkel Wodka," "Jens," "Mittwoch," "Let's Tenderly Say Goodbye," "Nostradamus," "Hallo Gen."
