HMTZ stands for the Hochschule fuer Musik und Theater Zuerich, which in 2007 merged into the Zuercher Hochschule der Kuenste, abbreviated ZHdK. The disc is catalogued in the ZHdK Medienarchiv as a 2005 zhdk-records entry, confirming an academic and conservatory origin rather than a commercial label. The Various credit covers Swiss jazz musicians tied to the school.
